The Common Room will reopen from 17th May!
Before the real dancing can resume there’ll be a ‘warm up month’, with distancing measures in place and reduced capacity, but it won’t be like that for long! The whole team is gearing up for what’s sure to be the craziest summer yet post 21st June, with exciting events, delicious new drinks and cool changes to our operation. Keep an eye on our social channels for more…
An independent drinking den on Saville Row, The Common Room is one of Bath’s original late-night bars. An institution on the city’s party scene since the rose-tinted haze of the swinging 60s, the Common Room opened its doors in its current guise back in 2005. These days, the unmistakable retro glam surroundings are infused with a Tiki vibe and a love for rum, with over 100 varieties of the pirate’s tipple of choice – served neat, on the rocks or mixed into classic and creative cocktails – to tempt you. There’s also a stunning spirits selection alongside draught beers, cider, fine wines and more.
There’ll be no disco ball (or DJ) action for the foreseeable future. Our small-yet-perfectly-formed dance floor is currently off limits, replaced with a much more chilled, socially-distanced vibe.
Head upstairs to discover our lounge-style drinking parlour. It’s bold, blooming and provides the perfect intimate backdrop for date-night drinks or cocktails with the girls. Our first-floor bar is also available for private hire for small special occasions.
Want to learn more about rum or how to mix your favourite Common Room cocktail like a pro? We’re launching a series of masterclasses for all abilities, whether you’re a complete rum rookie or are more advanced in your knowledge of the pirate’s favourite drink. Taking place in the vibrant surrounds of our Tiki-inspired bar, you’ll get to sample our delicious wares, have some fun and depart with some new-found knowledge. Masterclasses require a minimum of two participants and are limited to six.
